Do you want to know how to achieve goals in 2020? Did you ever wish to accomplish your goals faster than ever?
Do you want to learn how to BUILD a foundation for goal setting?
One of the things I did not get to do CONSISTENTLY last year was to PLAN.
Don’t get me wrong though.
I do my planning every start of the year. Heck, I even do my vision board.
But there was lacking.
CONSISTENCY!
I tend to procrastinate which I’m guilty of from time to time.
But that’s what I love about life. You get countless opportunities to do things the right way.
Thus we’re given another opportunity this year.
By now, you should have already written down your goals. Yes??
So what’s next?
How do you pull it all together??
It’s always imperative for me that I start the year with a plan.
Heck, I always found myself pumped up as I start the year! (which supposedly is great, right?)
But here’s problem.
I usually don’t get to finish strong!
What usually happens is this…
I only get to revisit my goals and plans at the start of the NEXT year.
What could have gone wrong? What seemed to be the problem?
Goal-setting? Checked.
Goals written? Checked.
What could I possibly lacked?
But hey, I discovered a different approach!
It snaps me back to the focus that I need to get what I want out of life.
I remember what my Uncle Albert Einstein would always say…
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. “
So here’s what I suggest you do differently this year!
Take these steps to achieve your goals. Give your self the best gift – the ability to follow your dreams and passion.
Ready to find out how to achieve goals in 2020? Great!
1. Always schedule some alone time with yourself.

Forgive my handwriting. Just focus on how to achieve goals! 😀
Did this ever happen to you before? It’s easier for you to say yes to other people but not with yourself.
I plead guilty.
Can you relate?
Sometimes, it’s easier for you to set aside time for other people but not with yourself. ( Okay, myself included! 😉 )
But can I tell you something?
You cannot give what you don’t have.
Balance is the key to success.
In order for you to be more effective with other people, make sure you serve yourself first.
You need to find time to be alone with yourself!
For me, Friday is my alone time.
No meetings. No appointments. Free from distractions.
I hear you.
You’re probably saying right now…
“But March, Friday is usually the busiest time for most people! Not to mention the traffic, weekend gimmicks?”
Not for me though. (perks of working from home)
Friday works perfectly for me.
Less distractions from other people because they would be busy with their own stuff!
I suggest you really take this seriously.
Spend more time with yourself. Allot at least a day in a week to have a date with you.
Recalibrate. Refocus. Reassess.
And yes, I suggest you do this at least once a week–non-negotiable!
Have fun alone!
Got it? Great!
2. Break down your goals into smaller tasks.
Done writing your plans for the whole year? Great!
Now, what’s next?
Desmond Tutu once wisely said …
“There is only one way to eat an elephant: a bite at a time.”
Getting started can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. Would you agree?

How do you break it down so that it doesn’t feel so overwhelming?
Here’s what I suggest…
Create a weekly goal for yourself. Or better yet a daily plan.
Here’s an example for me.
Since I’m really geared towards growing this blog to serve you better, here’s what my weekly goal looks like.
Every week, I need to be able to write down 4 articles. And that’s from Fridays-Mondays.
And how do I know if these things are being carried out?
I have FRIDAY as my me time.
This lets me assess my whole week. And being able to plan again for the next week.
Having your whole year goal is one thing. But breaking it down into smaller goals for better execution is another!
Finally, here’s what I think is really important…
3. Clarify what you want.
You see..
It’s not enough that we get goals and plans written down. They should be carried out.
How many times have you been pumped up to doing something?
But, along the way, you lost your passion.
All of a sudden you lost the fire to do it.
Or what’s even worst is this…
You totally forgot about it!
It’s one thing to have a goal in mind. But confirming if this is really what you want is another.
So how do we make sure a goal is something that you truly want?
Hint?
Clarity leads to power.
How do get clarity?
TAKE ACTION.
So there!
Now, don’t let this article be just a thing that pumps you up.
Because unless, you do something about it, it will never come to pass.
Now go ahead…
Always schedule some alone time with yourself.
Break down your goals into smaller tasks.
Clarify what you want.
Remember your ABC’s for success.
That’s how to achieve goals (your goals) this 2020!
You got this! I believe in you.
