Oops, I didn’t mean that you run away to save your life when I said “run for your life”. (please don’t take it literally 😉 )
Let’s just say everything has two sides. It depends on your perspective.
But I can assure you….
…this will help you live your life better this year.
Cool? Great!
How’s your year going so far?
I just got back to my normal routine today. (How long has it been again since my last? Haha I can’t remember!)
I got to hit the treadmill again today. Yayyyy!

Did I ever mention to you before?
I’m a triathlete.

That’s me! (back when I used to be really active) 😀
Running used to be my foundation before I eventually started doing triathlons. (It’s a sport that consists of 3 events/disciplines—swim, bike run.)
So yes, I got to my running routine again today.
And oh boy, was it not easy!
Making it at 5 minutes was like an eternity!
When I hit the 10-minute mark, that was when side stitch took its toll on me. (I know that sounds jargon)
It’s the side cramp you experience on the side of your abdominal muscle when running. That uncomfortable feeling in the side portion of your abdomen that sometimes lets you stop.
Yep, that’s called side stitch. (You’re welcome! )
Still confused? There’s google. 😀
And while side stitch is harmless, it can be quite painful.
I hear you. You’re probably asking, “Wait March, what does that have to do with me??”
Allow me to explain, so read on.
There are several reasons as to why this develops.
One of which is improper breathing. Another is weak abdominal muscle!
To put it in simpler words? You’re not doing it regularly. (Ouch, I know that hurts!)
Oh and here’s what you’ve been waiting for…It’s because of your wrong running style!
And the solution? Yep, it’s quite obvious.
You’ve got to do it regularly!
How do you do that, you ask?
You’ve got to start somewhere.
In the same way…
Are you having a hard time doing something? Perhaps because you’re not doing it regularly.
Start today.
They say that the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. And the second best time? Today.
Are there plans you had last year that didn’t come to pass?
You still have this year to start again!
So if you haven’t started anything yet, you better start today. I promise, your future self will thank you for it.
Rooting for you,
March
