“Starting a Youtube Channel? What for? Do I need to start one?”
Those are the things I had in mind then. Back when I was still contemplating if starting a Youtube Channel is a good idea.
But hey, motivation came in the way. Guess what??
I finally launched my Youtube Channel!
So you’re probably wondering…
Why would you think of starting a Youtube Channel?
Here’s the reason why…
Just last year, I did something that was way outside of my comfort zone…
I thought that perhaps it’s about time for me to bring my game to the next level.
You see…
For the 30+ years of my life, rarely do I finish something strong.
I would start an endeavour, but I would find myself falling through the cracks.
So I challenged myself.
I need to create a habit that’s worth embracing.
A simple habit that will impact my whole being.
I learned that it takes 66 days to create a habit and 90 days if you want to make it a lifestyle.
Habit is something you do that’s already automatic. You don’t even think about it.
Things like, brushing your teeth, taking a bath or the mere act of drinking or eating..
And I told myself, I want to create a habit that sets the tone of my whole day.
So an idea came to mind…
I want to make it a habit to wake up at 5AM.
In order for me to do that, I need to think something that I would look forward to doing to force me to wake up early.
And this is when the weird idea came to mind…
To force me to wake up at 5AM, I need to Do Facebook live everyday.
So I created a Facebook page and asked a few of my friends to like it. Those with whom I can be very vulnerable.
Especially that every day, I would commit myself to doing Facebook live. More of like an impromptu speech where I would share my daily life lessons and daily reflections
And that’s what I did. Every day I would share my random life lessons and stories.
Just like this video…
I only thought of doing it for 90 days, but guess what?? I ended up doing it for 120 straight days.
Here’s the funny part.
My ultimate intention was to wake up at 5AM. Guess what, because of other commitments, there were days I would sleep at 1-2AM which made it really impossible for me to consistently wake up at 5 AM.
But what has remained consistent?
My Facebook live.
It didn’t matter if I do it in the morning or evening, for as long as I do it consistently everyday.
And the more I was doing it, the more I was loving it!
Along the way, I learned 3 powerful lessons while doing the challenge…
1. I got to find my voice.
The more I was doing it, the more I got comfortable speaking in front of the camera. And it gave me a huge boost knowing that I got to love sharing my life lessons.
Eventually, when I got to purify my intentions, ideas were just flowing like crazy. Man, I was loving every bit of it.
I really felt my essence! And that has led me to finding this next powerful lesson…
2. I found a purpose bigger than myself.
When some of my friends were already sharing my contents, I realized, this is no longer about me. But it’s already about something bigger than me.
So, I thought, if I can impact at least one person, it would already mean the world to them. Oh and other than starting a Youtube Channel I also have this blog, thecontentleader.com as a platform to share my message to the world!
And that was when things became a lot clearer.
Which brings me to this…
3. It gave me a sense of clarity.
That I am limitless.
That I am not limited to the 4 corners of my room to be able to live my purpose. And in a way, get my message out to the world.
It has always been my life purpose to lead others to live a balanced life and inspire them to achieve their God-designed lives.
And by doing this, I get to live my purpose. My mission in life!
You see…
It all started with a challenge. I ended up loving it.
It is my hope that through the contents I’ll be sharing with you, you’ll get to learn a thing or two.
Now back to what I was asking you earlier…
“Starting a Youtube Channel? What for? Do I need to start one?”
So to answer these questions… here’s a video I created just for you…
It is my hope that through my real life lessons, you’ll get to find your life mission.
See you in the next video!
