Did you get the chance to enjoy the mesmerizing sunset today?
When was the last time you witnessed a beautiful sunset anyway?
Travelling has always been my sweet escape.
I went on a few day escapades in Iloilo Philippines this year. I really didn’t have any itinerary.
But browsing the net led me to book this cheap getaway. I ended up booking myself a beautiful place in Islas de Gigantes.
While I’ve heard from friends that the place’s a paradise, I took out for myself to discover it’s beauty.
Heck, that made me booked a package to do a land tour.
Just when Mr. Sun is about to go down
It was already late in the afternoon when we started the land tour. Just in time for the setting of the sun!
I never thought this place offers a wide variety of wonderful sceneries to choose from.
There was this majestic cave, the breathtaking lighthouse. Oh, and not to mention the beautiful sandbar!
If you’re a nature lover like me, you’ll enjoy what this place has to offer.
It was the end of the tour when I noticed something while I was busy doing my earthing in the sandbar.
Oh, the sunset today!
“Hey March, don’t tell me it’s your first time seeing a sunset??”
I hear you. (I know.)
It’s my first time to notice its beauty.
It was calming to see Mr. Sun waving goodbye…slowly signing off.
But at the same time, it’s kind of a lonely feeling seeing the used to be smiling sun now making its rest.
I know this sounds melodramatic. But it’s true.
The sunset today resting doesn’t mean it will rest forever, right?
This has led me to contemplate life…
There are times we need to take some time off…
Surrender doesn’t mean give up and retreat. It means to rest now, get recharged knowing that there’s another promise waiting for you tomorrow.
We may get knocked down, but that doesn’t mean we lost the game. It’s part of the process we have to go through.
We need to find ourselves…
In so doing, we sometimes get lost for a moment. Knowing that one day we can get ourselves back again.
Have you ever felt so sad? Lonely? Alone?
We all go through that. Know that it’s part of the process.
But just like Mr. Sun, tomorrow is another day. Life’s giving us a guarantee that you’re going to let your brightness shine again tomorrow.
You’re going to flash your biggest smile again.
And when that happens, you just can’t help but realize…
This is life after all…
It doesn’t matter how many times you fall. What matters is how many times you stand up.
The sun will rise again tomorrow…and so are you!
You got this!
